Buy on the Dip Prospects: September 9 Edition

Below is a look at ETFs that currently offer attractive buying opportunities.

The ETFs included in this list are rated as buy candidates for two reasons. First, each of these funds is deemed to be in an uptrend based on the fact that its 50-day moving average is above its 200-day moving average, which are popular indicators for gauging long-term and medium-term trends, respectively.

Second, each of these ETFs is also trading below its five-day moving average, thereby offering a near-term ‘buy on the dip’ opportunity, given the longer-term uptrend at hand. Note that this prospects list also features a liquidity screen by excluding ETFs with average trading volumes below the one million shares mark. As always, investors of all experience levels are advised to use stop-loss orders and practice disciplined profit-taking techniques.

Crossing $10B: Fundamental ETF PRF Powers Past AUM Milestone

As valuations become increasingly stretched in today’s concentrated market, investors may be wondering where to break away from the typical market-cap weighted approach. Fundamental indexing can do just that, and investors appear to be gravitating to this methodology given the latest asset accumulation data. The <ins>Invesco RAFI US 1000 ETF</ins> (PRF A-) officially crossed the $10 billion assets under management (AUM) threshold in August, solidifying its position as a cornerstone strategy for those seeking smart-beta and large-cap equity exposure in the convenience of one ETF.

While this segment of the global equity market has delivered strong results again this year, rising concentration centered on the AI theme could mean an EM allocation isn’t delivering the diversification you might expect.

A Small-Cap ETF With a Best-of-Both Worlds Approach

Small-cap bullishness in 2026 is being widely discussed and bringing some renewed attention to the once-beloved small-cap value combination. In fact, some popular small-cap value gauges are performing in line with or outpacing their blend counterparts. Entering Friday, September 4, the S&P SmallCap 600® Index and its value counterpart sported essentially the same year-to-date gain of nearly 21%. Some experts view the simultaneous rally in small-cap value and mega-cap growth as an anomaly. But as unusual as the scenario is, it may also signal opportunity with a unique small-cap value ETF such as the <ins>Invesco S&P SmallCap Value with Momentum ETF</ins> (XSVM B).

Oil Prices Near $100 Lift This Energy Income ETF

Oil prices climbed further Tuesday, with Brent crude rising 1% to $97.95 a barrel and briefly touching $99.46, according to the Associated Press. The benchmark has climbed from around $72 over the past two months. Fighting tied to the war with Iran has clouded hopes for reopening the Strait of Hormuz to tankers.

Diversify Income in This Higher-For-Longer Regime With Real Estate

Today’s higher-for-longer interest rate regime calls for income diversification. As investors assess the various opportunity sets for attractive yields in the current environment, they may not have yet considered real estate. Accordingly, the <ins>Fidelity Real Estate Income ETF</ins> (FREI) offers a solution that’s befitting from current macroeconomic conditions. FREI represents one of Fidelity’s latest ETF share classes, which allow investors two access points to the same underlying portfolio and historical track record as the established Fidelity Real Estate Income mutual fund (FRIFX). They can invest in the fund via an ETF or the aforementioned mutual fund.

As Yields Rise, Active Shorter Duration Bond ETF TBUX Can Spike

Bond markets around the world have trembled in the last week, as uncertainty continues to rise. A mix of geopolitical, trade, debt, and currency pressures have put immense pressure on yields. The Yen carry trade situation alone has soaked bond markets, but when combined with U.S. debt fears and Hormuz concerns, the picture has shifted. Short-term bonds can help, with the <ins>T. Rowe Price Ultra Short-Term Bond ETF</ins> (TBUX ) a leading candidate among bond ETFs.

Midstream Taps Private Equity to Fund Growth Projects

The North American midstream sector is entering a period of accelerated growth. Surging liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports and rapidly expanding power generation demand are driving record multi-billion-dollar project backlogs. To fund this massive wave of new energy infrastructure while strictly preserving balance sheet discipline, midstream operators are increasingly turning to strategic private equity joint ventures.

How Income ETF Duo GPIQ & GPIX Can Meet Client Needs

The headlines may sensationalize, but it’s hard to miss: Markets are under some pressure right now. While that has yet to impact all clients, it risks spreading to equities and stocks more broadly even in a strong earnings year. With inflation rising too, investors and advisors may want to consider income ETF funds like the <ins>Goldman Sachs S&P 500 Premium Income ETF</ins> (GPIX A) and the <ins>Goldman Sachs Nasdaq-100 Premium Income ETF</ins> (GPIQ A).

The dividend yield on the largest plain vanilla S&P 500 ETF is just 1.03%, reflecting the fact that yield on the domestic equity benchmark recently hit its lowest levels on record. Of course, that dwindling yield is the result of the index’s rise, but it also leaves income investors wanting more, well, income. Count the <a target="_blank"

Construction Firms Powering the Nuclear Renaissance

Investors usually focus on reactor developers and uranium miners when deciding on allocations for investing in the nuclear renaissance. A narrow view on the nuclear sector could result in missed opportunities for investment returns in nuclear-adjacent companies. Construction companies such as Fluor (FLR) and AtkinsRéalis (ATRL.CN) have active work spanning the nuclear value chain. These companies are seeing money from the nuclear renaissance today, compared to reactor developers that may not see meaningful income for years.

There is something deeply satisfying about watching a fund hit a clean asset threshold. Crossing $500 million, $1 billion, or $2 billion in assets under management (AUM) is more than just a psychological victory. It signals real <a target="_self"

Dial Down Interest Rate Sensitivity With Fidelity's FLDR

High Yields May Be Good News for This Bond ETF

As advisors and experienced fixed income investors know, bond prices and yields move inversely to one another, meaning that when yields are high, prices have slipped. This may have some investors worried about buying bonds when yields are elevated, and it’s certainly a valid concern in today’s Treasury market. However, some experts view high yields on municipal bonds as sources of allure. It could also set the stage for opportunity with ETFs such as the <ins>ALPS BBH Intermediate Municipal Bond ETF</ins> (MNBD B-).
